The pièce de résistance was kitting out the boys’ bedroom with two loft areas, which the initial design had allowed for. The bunks were moved to the middle of the outer wall, where a child’s eye-height window had been positioned to channel light to the lower bunk. Luke’s DIY skills paid dividends for his four little boys – their bedroom is decked out with a climbing wall and a bridge that lead to a wee playroom, helping to keep them occupied.
