Seven applications for integration from other schools throughout New Zealand have been declined in the past five years. There are 330 state-integrated schools in New Zealand. Nga Tawa Diocesan School and Cullinane College are the only two in Wanganui. It's understood that Wanganui Collegiate has fewer than 22 students in each Year 9 and 10 class, and fewer than 23 in Years 11 to 13.
29.8.13 - Question 12: Chris Hipkins To The Minister Of EducationThe National govt have given an extra $3million per year to Wanganui Collegiate, yet only 7 extra day student places have been made available as a result. Another decision based on what's best for National's privileged supporters, not the whole country.
