These tiled San Francisco steps were created by 220 neighbors in Golden Gate Heights. Just one of the neatest neighborhood projects I've seen. It's a heck of a climb actually, but the detail is incredible, just a little hidden SF treasure. Full site at: www.neonphoto.com

(Note: I didn't take this photo, our friend Barb did) Sage's mom, who still lives near where we lived in the Ozarks, takes apart peoples' discarded sweaters and reassembles them in to these gorgeous rugs. I've seen her work for years but not all together like this. Very striking. This batch is headed off to be sold at the Midwest Wimmins' Festival. Thanks to Barb for coming up with the idea for this photo and then making it happen.
