London Street Restaurant - a great old building but now gone in the February 2011 earthquake...a beauty while she lasted.
Very gracious review considering the disaster of a night it was - fire alarm kept blasting due to broken exhaust fan in wood fire grill kitchen reaching +70c.
Chef Adrian masters the wood (manuka) fired grill - awesome piece of cookery equipment but damn hot!
Typical scrumptious London Street menu - keep it simple...5 entrees, mains & desserts.
A great fitout & renovation - felt like an old Parisian bistro with hard wood floors, exposed bricks, zinc topped tables & bar & warm lighting.
Latitude magazine review...thanks.
London Street monthly wine tastings...loads of fun & super juice to taste...creme de la creme tastings were amazing with selected wines from my cellar.
Cuisine magazine's review - Kate Fraser sort of knows what she's talking about but then again sort of does not.
London Street's best review...Geraldine Johns nails it as to what we were about/did...
Head Chef - Adrian Lowery.
