Storytelling suitcases are perfect outside.

Learn how to make and share one or grab an e-pattern and have resources to put in one in minutes. I always add a basket of loose parts for the children to add to the storytelling suitcase.

Story Spoons

The Lion And The Mouse

The Lion and the Mouse puppets in a storytelling suitcase

Puppets are a great way to model and introduce virtues and the story spoons worked well in a storytelling suitcase. I made the spoon hood puppets with felt (and a print cardboard version) and they are avaiable in an e-pattern. This Aesop's fable introduces the golden rule, • Treat others as you want to be treated which is a moral but also aligns with virtues.

A storytelling suitcase is fabulous in or outdoors and provides a space for chiuildren to explore and play. These craft sticks have printable charachters that are ready in under 30 minutes to use (got to wait for the glue to dry) and if the they are lost or damaged I simply print another.

Here is The Rainbow Fish ready for little hands! I have used my e-pattern and included 'sea' loose parts in a bag. Loose parts for children to add is important for a storytelling suitcase and I share what I include in mine in my mini-course.

A storytelling suitcase moveable and can be used for many different books and 'scenes'. I have also been using it for an invitation to tell a story. Just add loose parts based on children's interests and let the magic happen.
