-Thorens TD124 / Wand 12in / Orotfon 2M Black Thorens TD124s have deservedly become popular again with their ‘idler drive’ and solid Swiss construction giving a drive and dynamics lacking in many modern turntables. -TD318 / Denon DL103R; The Wand Tonearm is a very nice drop-in upgrade for Thorens TD316-320 family turntables. This allows them to get to modern sound quality levels. It is even possible to use the existing Thorens arm lifter. Local customer Richard helped create a dedicated set of Instructions (on our website).
Proving that a Wand 10.3in can be fitted on nicely on a Thorens TD126, Ian from Wellington (NZ) said “Having used it for a couple of weeks, among the (many) things I like about The Wand is the hole in the arm above the cartridge so one can easily see where the stylus will land …... Obviously a lot of thought went into the design - how it would actually work in practice. The setup was dead easy thanks to your clear instructions and the template. Best arm I have used - and sounds great.”

-TD160 / Ortofon Cadenza Bronze; This Australian TD160 has been beautifully modified with a change to DC motor and carbon fibre armboard to match the look of the resident Wand Tonearm. Walter commented; "I’ve had the Wand running for a couple of days now and I’m very impressed; the Cadenza Bronze-Wand-Thorens is a quantum leap from the Troika-Ittok-LP12, better in all respects. And the bass in particular is huge."

-TD160 mod / Wand /Decca London Maroon; Walter said of the combo “Decca London cartridges are notoriously difficult for tonearms to handle. I found that my Wand, however, coped magnificently with the London Gold, allowing its musical energy to come through, without any hint of the chronic mistracking generally associated with this temperamental cartridge. This is the most dynamic and engaging arm-cartridge combination I have ever heard.”
