Hauora – Whare Tapa Whā Fold-up Book
This Hauora foldup book can be used to present information and elaborate on the Māori view of health. Te whare tapa whā is a model of the 4 dimensions of wellbeing developed by Sir Mason Durie in 1984 to provide a Māori perspective on health. The 4 dimensions covers four (4) concepts: Taha tinana (physical), Taha hinengaro ( mental), Taha whānau (social and family), and Taha wairua (spiritual). #tereomaori #tereo #learntereo #nzteachers #maori #maorilanguage

Classroom Labels
These te reo classroom label printables are simple te reo phrases. They are awesome for a number of reasons. You and your learners can use not only the Māori word for the object, but also to put the word in a sentence. This resource also has the English translation for each label. These sentences are called classification sentences, or “he” sentences. They describe what someone or something is, or what qualities they have. They answer the questions “What is?” and “What are?”

Teachers' Unit Planner
Use this to help plan your unit of work. Remember you do not need to start from 1.1- and only go to Level 2 when you have finished all of level1. They are absolutely interchangeable. Also, you don't need to teach the whole of the achievement objective. You may be doing weather and only teaching a few key kupu, without teaching seasons and time.
