Collection of Vintage Costume Jewellery

These are pieces from my private vintage costume jewelry collection. As a general rule these pieces are not for sale. However I have to admit that some jewels are closer to my heart than others :-). So just in case you might be interested in a particular piece, let me know and we can take it from there.

I reckon a Coro or Corocraft Duette piece of jewellery is a MUST in every jewellery collection! These double clips could be either worn as fur or dress clips or be combined into one brooch (as pictured). The mechanism for the Duette was patented in 1931. The Duette brooch and clips styles stayed popular throughout the 1940s. This particular piece, the sea horses is signed Coro Craft and is made of sterling. The current market value is approx. This Christmas tree brooch / pin by Albert Weiss is probably the most exclusive one. Many might be more famous, like his 3-, 5- or 6-candles trees however I reckon this is the most beautiful one. And furthermore it is almost impossible to find it nowadays! I have been lucky enough to be able to buy this particular one in New York in the 1980s and even then it cost me an arm and a leg! But it is worth every penny and one of my most treasured pieces! The current market value is approx. NZ$600.
