'I must go to Harrods Sale' By 1924 the twice-yearly Harrods Sale had been an important fixture on the London shopping calendar for thirty years. Harrods knew that female customers would be flocking to the store in their thousands in search of bargains - but how to raise awareness of the Sale among their menfolk? One solution was this 1924 newspaper advert telling the men what Sale bargains were in store for them.
