➡️There are many different possible sources of hip tightness —— 💎Today's stretch focuses on the hip capsule. It's the connective tissue that holds the ball and socket portion of the hip in place. (femur in the acetabulum) —- 🔑The goal is to stretch the posterior portion of the hip capsule, and it should feel like a deeper stretch on the hip than you may be used to. —- ✅While it looks similar to a pigeon stretch, there are some key differences. --- 📝Make sure to turn in the leg of the hip being stretched, then reach the opposite leg over and back. After that sit the hips back at an angle over the turned leg. --- 👍🏼You should feel this deep in the back part of the hip you are leaning back over.
