Woman's Dress and Petticoat (Robe à la française)
Detail stomacher, robe a la Française, c. 1725. Bright green silk taffeta, stomacher embroidered with flowers in coloured silk and metal thread.
Circa 1920s dress & coat, Molyneux. Silk velvet with matching applied raised flower heads from some fabric amongst beaded foliage worked in diamante, bugle beads, & faux pearls. Sleeveless dress decorated at dropped waist, with asymmetric hem. Coat trimmed in fur at cuffs & lined in cream silk satin crepe, with satin collar that has been reworked at some point. Via Bonham's.
