Exteriors: rebels with a cause
For an urban, bush-clad site in Warkworth north of Auckland, BK Design chose vertical timber cladding for this home but chose to emphasise the recesses in the front and back of the house with a change in stain colour. For the ‘frame’ of the recess, they used Wood-X in colour Kauri Gum, available from Resene, and for the inside of the frame, they used Wood-X in colour Foundry.
