Plunket books were first introduced about 90 years ago. Since the 1980's they've been produced by the Ministry of Health and now called Well Child/Tamariki Ora Health books.

The Plunket Society was founded over 100 years ago in 1907 in Dunedin by child health visionary, Sir Frederic Truby King.
