On Friday, 24 June 2016 the last bottle of Tui beer rolled off the old production line at the Mangatainoka Brewery. It opened in 1889 and in 1931 as the factory expanded, a 7-storey brew tower (seen in the background) was built so brewers could use gravity to turn malt into beer.
