Mauritius is an old school, tried-and-true variety, especially in south Florida where it has become one of the most popular and sought after Lychee varieties for cultivation. The fruit is slightly smaller than most other types, however the flavor is supreme. In our opinion, an amazing Lychee fruit requires the right balance of sweetness and acidity, and the Mauritius fits the bill perfectly.
