Typically I love using liquid Tide or Shout as a stain pretreater for all of my family's (many) stains. However, if you're looking for a cheaper "tightwad" alternative, this solution works pretty good.  Ingredients: 2 parts hydrogen peroxide 1 part original blue Dawn dish detergent  Mix together in a spray bottle.

Ant Poison DIY. 1/3 cup sugar, tablespoon borax, 1 cup warm water. Mixed to dissolve. Soak a cotton ball in the mixture and art out for ants.
