An Ontario dad wanted to buy this signed jersey to cheer up his 11-year-old daughter (and Bruins fan) Trista, who had been experiencing bullying at school. At the charity auction, he soon realized he would not be able to afford it. In stepped the Colorado Avalanche's Matt Duchene, who promised to cover the cost. (And it wasn't even an Avs jersey!) He did, even when the bidding went up to $2,000. That's a birthday present to remember. (And, as the news reports, he's got himself a new fan).
