1900-20 Sexy French, tall, leather boots - marked "Maniatis/Bottier/36 rue de Belle Ford/Paris (9e)/Tel. Taudine 43-57". Black leather trimmed at the top with gold leather. Makes me wonder if these were made for a theatrical performers or lady of "interesting" pursuits. These would make great "fetish-wear" today. Beaded cross strap boots, c.1900-1905. Made from deep plum colored, bronzed kid leather - rare in such condition. The crisscross straps and toes are embellished with bronze metallic beads. The Louis heels, more difficult to make than straight heels, were reserved for expensive shoes and boots.
