These are the mugshots of William West and William West, and they are not related. They were both sent to Leavenworth Prison at the same time, in 1903, and after some confusion, the staff understood they had two different prisoners with the exact same name, who looked exactly alike. They are part of the reason fingerprints are now used as identification.
hoarding ---The body of Langley found: - Homer Lusk Collyer and Langley Wakeman Collyer, known as the Collyer brothers, were two American brothers who became famous because of their bizarre natures and compulsive hoarding. Both were eventually found dead in the Harlem brownstone where they had lived, surrounded by over 140 tons of collected items that they had amassed over several decades.
And p.s. They killed each other all the time over land wars. White guys didn't invent scalping...although they were prized victims. And yeah, I've got native American in my blood. I just don't have a stick up my rear over it.
John Williams, in his own words: "I am known as...the Human Alligator or Crocodile Boy. I was born [in] 1884, in the condition you see me now...The doctors find by X-Ray examination that my heart, liver, & lungs are located nearly 4 inches lower in my body than the ordinary person; you can see my heart beating way down in the pit of my stomach. My skin all over my body is heavily scaled like that of an alligator. I generally shed my entire skin every 3 months."
Vivien Theodore Thomas [August 29, 1910-November 26, 1985] Surgical technician who developed procedures used to treat blue baby syndrome in the 1940s. Without any education past high school, he rose above poverty and racism to become a cardiac surgery pioneer and a teacher of operative techniques to many of the country's most prominent surgeons. "Rick" Rescorla~ He served in the British army then moved to the United States, joining the U.S. Army. He served in Vietnam as a platoon leader, taking part in the Ia Drang valley. After the war he worked as the head of security for Morgan Stanley and Dean Witter in the The Twin Towers. He predicted both attacks on the World Trade Center. He saved over 2500 people on 9/11. He was last seen going back up into the tower to look for more survivors. He died when tower two collapsed
