The late Robert Jordan (James Oliver Rigney Jr.). One of my favorite authors. The man really connected with his readers online in a way that few famous authors do. I felt like I knew the man, even though we never met. I actually cried the day that I found out he had passed, having lost his battle with Cardiac Amyloidosis (a form of heart disease that causes a thickening & hardening of the walls of the heart chambers) on September 16th, 2007.
