New Zealand Kea by Ed Janwattana. The Kea is a large species of parrot, about 19" long, found in forested and alpine regions of the South Island Island of New Zealand. Kea are known for their intelligence and curiosity, both vital to their survival in a harsh moun-tain environment. Kea can solve logical puzzles, such as pushing and pulling things in a certain order to get to food, and will work together to achieve a certain objective.
The kiwi is one of NZ's most famous and recocnisable icons. They are our a native animal to New Zealand and something we as New Zealanders are very proud of as it cannot be found in any other country around the world!!!
