Catch-22 - My first impression was of falling down Alice's rabbit hole and finding the Hatter, but 30 or 40 pages later, I'd adapted to Heller's rhythm and style and find myself reading Swift. Heller's satire was as cynical as it was ironic, but his central characters were so oddly charming that I couldn't stop myself hoping for their salvation. I'll enjoy pondering this one for a while. That's 8 down on the Amazon list
