Try dyeing cotton balls with yellow and orange tempera paints. Older students can glue on real corn kernels. Pop some corn - elementary students always love this project; they get to eat some of the corn as they work on their Thanksgiving art projects! The before of these cabinets was absolutely orange and 80's disgusting.... BUT.... I turned that around on a budget and transformed the cabinets into this. :) I primed all of them, and then proceeded to paint them a creamy white, let try.. I then filed in the corners and fanned out with an old rag and did this in layers building up to the nicely shaded color. I even spray painted the old hinges with rustoleam spray paint and they have held up GREAT! (Counters and backsplash to come)
