Where: Ashridge, Bedfordshire UK / What: Bluebell Woods. Tuesday 14th May 2013. / Armed with my trusty Rolleiflex and my wife’s Sony RX100 I went to the Bluebells woods today. There was a lovely sunrise which just didn’t quite turn out as hoped but this shot seems to have worked out better than I had expected. Plus I had a lovely chat with two other photographers and got told off for standing in someones frame. Oops, sorry whoever you were. / I hope you like...

Here is a wonderfully atmospheric shot of the Hollywood Hotel captured by a Life magazine photographer in 1936. Interestingly the hotel’s sign across the front reads “HOTEL HOLLYWOOD” rather than the other way around. I’m still trying to figure out what the apparition is behind him.”  Skeptics have theorized that the image is just a reflection, however, the photographer was on the other side of the phone taking the actual picture and claims that no reflective surfaces were facing
