Works up great in quality acrylic, soft wool or cotton. My pattern includes instructions for you to make six sizes (approx age/hat circumference): Preemie/petite 12" Baby 0 to 6 mths 14" Baby 6 to 12 mths 16" Toddler 1 to 3 years 18" Kid Plus/Teen 20" Large/Mens 22" Please note due to the nature of this pattern sizes are limited to what is stated and spaced two inches apart. Please do not purchase unless the above sizes suit you! I recommend you measure the head for correct size selection. As this design is quite stretchy I recommend making a hat that is half to one inch smaller than head circumference for a snug yet comfortable fit. When in doubt, always make the larger size All my patterns are written in American crochet terminology and in English. This pattern is rated "Easy". Back and front post stitches are used extensively. I do not consider this pattern suitable for beginners. You will require worsted weight (USA = Medium/4, UK = Aran, AUS = 10ply) yarn and crochet hook 5.0mm (US H).
