Technique inspiration: I love the photo-montage of this image. The pairing of grey scale and slightly de-saturated imagery is intriguing especially because of the placing of the flowers. Black and white can often represent lifelessness and to pair that with images of flowers which typically represent life is interesting. I definitely would love to explore this
FLOWER POWER by Sophie Gamand - America euthanizes upward of 800,000 Pit Bulls each year. Around the world, Pit Bulls are equally victims of prejudices that associate them with ultra-violence. With "Flower Power: Pit Bulls of the Revolution", Gamand decided to photograph the dogs with flower crowns to infuse a more feminine energy into their image, to challenge the way we look at Pit Bulls. All the models were shelter Pit Bulls who were waiting for adoption at the time of the photograph.
