Flower Girl, 1760-1770s From the Metropolitan Museum of Arts' "Dangerous Liaisons" exhibit (2004). This part of the exhibit was located in the Du Tesse Room and was called "An Unexpected Entanglement." The model is wearing a white/creme cotton dress (most likely imported to France from India) with stitching and a plain white cotton wrap. She is wearing a lovely sash of white roses and is seated, getting her portrait painted.
