Director of the Teachers Council Peter Lind issued a statement saying he was looking forward to working with the advisory group. The Ministerial advisory group will lead consultation on proposed changes to the Teachers Council and registration of teachers, and report back to Ms Parata. NZEI President Judith Nowotarski says the new body would need to be truly independent of Government if it is to have teachers confidence.

I’m sorry to have to write home about wee Hekia so soon after my last note, but her behaviour has not only failed to improve but appears to be getting worse. In this last week she has shown very poor manners to her hosts, with belittling comments, demeaning behaviour and downright rudeness.  This really is a huge concern

According to the Toronto Star, Trahan-Hardy first complained to the school in March that her fifth-grade daughter, Harley Campos, was being bullied in hallways, at recess and during lunch.
