GREAT idea for students with Autism or just for those who struggle to remember classroom routines!

Visual schedule for morning routine .What a great idea for students who struggle remembering routines, new students, ESL students, and kids who just like using lists.

Written BY a 14 year old with autism- who better to tell us what is going on inside their minds -and how they'd like us to reach out to them... "How to Talk to an Autistic Kid" by Daniel Stefanski is a great book to add to your shelf!

Lessons with Laughter: Student name labels

Name Posters - Personalized Classroom Decor

Name Posters for the first day of school-have students decorate and "power color" with colored pencils to display in the classroom. Good for when kids are coming the first day of school.

Frame a class list and use a dry erase marker on it whenever you want to mark off names. This could save SO MUCH PAPER AND TIME. I wonder if I could fit four cores worth of students' names on it, or if I'd need multiple frames?

Put a class list (on cute paper, of course) in a picture frame. Use a dry-erase marker to mark students off of a list! Add a line at the top of the page to remind you what it is for. Field trip money, papers signed and returned, etc.

Organize the things you'll need each week with a bin for each day.

More organization ideas. So many great classroom organization ideas! The key to making things run smoothly in the classroom is making sure you stay organized and on top of things otherwise you will find yourself getting behind adding more stress.

Mini white boards using old DVD cases and paper. This is just too clever. Wait until you see how it is all stored!! Read more at: http://www.talesofthefourthgradeteacher.blogspot.com/2012/04/diy-dry-erase-boards.html

Tales of the Grade Teacher: DIY Dry Erase Boards. DVD Case, dry erase markers and stretchy gloves. Put graph paper inside the case for math!
