Harold Harmsworth,1st Viscount Rothermere. Newspaper owner. He and his brother Alfred, later Lord Northcliffe, developed the London Daily Mail and Daily Mirror. Born Hampstead. During the lead up to WW2 he was a strong supporter of Oswald Moseley and the British Union of Fascists and of appeasement towards Hitler. In 1940 was asked by the government to go to America to help in the war effort but following a fall he died in a hospital in Bermuda.
