A heartbreaking story of mental illness and its effects on a family

The Husband's Secret. This was my book club book for February. It was so good! It tells three different stories that all intertwine with one another, and paints such an interesting picture of what secrets can do in a marriage. And in my opinion shows amazing strength of the women in these stories. It's frustrating and intriguing. I give it 2 thumbs up. -J

The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, set in a small town in the American South, was written by a young woman who saw beyond her time. Race, sexual orientation, mental illness, physical disability, and the complexity of relationships interwoven with insight and empathy.

Furiously Happy: A Funny Book about Horrible Things By Jenny Lawson

Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline

Thanks to @SheReads BookClub I received a copy of Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline. Molly, a troubled teen, uncovers an older woman, Vivan's, past while completing her community service hours. But this story is more unique because the background is the real life time in history when orphans were taken on trains to be distributed to new families. . . many times as indentured servants. I could not put this book down!

The Girl With All the Gifts-- one of the best books I have read in years. A phenomenal thriller that breaks through genres!

Love Kristin Hannah....This is an awesome book!!!!

Rainwater by Sandra Brown is a poignant, atypical love story set in Texas in the Depression Era. This is a fast read, deceptively simple, but stayed with me long after the last page.
