Lanny Bergner is a fulltime studio artist who has been working with mesh since 1983. He received an MFA in sculpture from Tyler School of Art, Philadelphia, PA. His work is in numerous museum collections including the Seattle Art Museum, Museum of Art and Design, NY, Philadelphia Museum of Art, and The Central Museum of Textile, Łódź, Poland. His work was recently included in the book Fiber Art Now, a survey of contemporary international fiber artists, published by Schiffer Publishing, Ltd.

This is a quilter's interpretation of a rain chain hanging from a Japanese structure. These pieces is constructed of commercial cotton, nylon cording, metal strapping tape, copper pipe, wire mesh, bamboo, copper wire and machine quilting.
