My own definition of mindfulness is very simple:  Mindfulness is the gentle effort to be continuously present with experience.  But I like Jon Kabat-Zinn’s definition of mindfulness:  “Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way;  On purpose, in the present moment, and nonjudgmentally.”
