When someone says "eagle-eyed," this is the picture that comes to my mind. The most intensive look in all the avian world.

Bald Eagle. I've only seen two mature and 3 immature bald eagles in my lifetime,but they and the Golden Eagles are making a big comeback around these parts.

two newborn baby bald eagle eaglets in the nest.  Young eagles do not leave the nest until about 75 days after being born.  They will not attain adult plumage, the white head, or breed until 4 or 5 years of age.  This picture was taken in mid May about 15 days after being born.   Alaska
