In the same year (apparently at the urging of Max Ernst), Man Ray executed a series of photographic studies of the models held at the scientific Poincaré Institute. Entitled Mathematical Objects, a selection of these photographs appeared in a 1936 issue of Cahiers d'Art alongside an essay on mathematics and abstract art by Christian Zervos.

The undefined possibilities of the field challenges the boundaries of both (partially)disabled and non-disabled children. Intersecting routes allow children with different abilities to meet and help each other.
