April 5th: Open House at Brampton Mill - Brampton Beck runs through the property and a weir in the beck feeds the mill race that provides water to the mill. The restored mill now provides hydro-electricity from a newly built external mid-breastshot waterwheel which powers a 3.6 kW grid-connected generator. The electricity is fed to the grid and receives the feed-in tariff. The mill normally provides more than enough hydroelectricity to supply all the energy needs of the house.
