Joan Crawford looking marvelously fresh and gorgeous- a terrific image where the elegant side of her beauty is shown to perfection. Posign for this ad in 1946- she was triumphant about her recent Oscar, and it shows. The true color of her eyes remind us of just how lovely she could be. One of my favorite images of her ever and that's saying something!

Her early films cast her as the girl-next-door, but for most of the Pre-Code film era (beginning with the 1930 film The Divorcee, for which she won the Academy Award for Best Actress), she played sexually liberated women in sophisticated contemporary comedies.
