Indeed, it takes the highest form of wisdom (emotional or intuitive intelligence) to be kind under pressure of adversity. During Christ's mortal ministry He demonstrated how to deal with Pharisaic hypocrites by boldly confronting their self righteousness, or by penetrating silence or answering a menacing question with a searching question to defuse and redirect destructive energy. To be kind is to stand up for what is right without contending with or condoning destructive behaviour.
