Della Reese (born Delloreese Patricia Early), actress, singer, one-time talk-show hostess and ordained minister. She became the 1st black woman to guest host The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson and played the mother of B. A. Baracus in The A-Team TV show. She starred in the film Harlem Nights, in which she is known for her a fight scene with Eddie Murphy ("Oh! Now you're gonna shoot me in my pinky toe..."). She later starred in the overtly religious TV show, Touched by an Angel.

Delloreese Patricia Early, known professionally as Della Reese (born July 6, 1931), is an American actress, singer, talk-show host and ordained minister. She scored a major hit with the 1959 single "Don't You Know?", leading to a 9-year stint in Las Vegas. In the late 1960s, she hosted her own talk show. My family and I have met the black lady from Touched by an Angel in Hollywood in 2001. I forget her name, but she was REALLY awesome :) she gave my brother and I hugs
