One of the most surprising things about guinea fowl is the strong attachment that develops between a guinea cock and his hens. If separated during feeding, a hen and cock will run toward each other to reunite like long lost lovers. It's quite a sight. After we lost 12+ chickens in 1 attack, we purchased 4 Nite Guard Solar (from Amazon, also found on jeffers livestock site). We placed 1 on each side of the coop, low for racoons, fox & opossum eye level & have had no trouble since (installed automatic coop door at the same time). 1 side of the coop is in shade all day due to trees & it still charges, due to needing light & not sunlight to charge. Pricing on this site, amazon & jeffers is all about the same (shipping may be difference)
