Made this Wisconsin style and it turned out absolutely perfect. Tips: find long enough nails with decent size heads to hold string, play with string color ( many colors and sizes at craft stores), and paint and antique (or add fabric) the background for the string to pop. I will continue to make these for presents for sure! More
"Kids will have fun making this paper plate sun craft during the summer season. If you are looking for a fun and simple summer craft for kids, then this is a good one. Kids get to paint the paper plate and then cut out the rays of sunshine and sunglasses (follow our template) from different colored construction paper. Then put it all together for one happy sun."
Kindergarten Irises-We looked at a photograph of the beautiful purple iris that grows at our school and noticed that they have several shades of purple on them. Students used three shades of purple to "dab" their irises on top of the sword shaped leaves which they created with two shades of green. Details were added with black sharpie and silver glitter paint added the finishing touch.
