The Orange Pore Fungus, Favolaschia calocera, was first observed in Madagascar but is now an invasive species in many areas including New Zealand, Australia, Hawaii, and Italy. It colonizes ruderal sites along transport routes and can become dominant in habitats disturbed by human activity. Mycologists fear that it may be displacing native fungi species as it spreads through the paleotropics. Image by Noah Siegel via Mushroom Observer (cc-by-nc-sa): http://mushroomobserver.org/12276
