King Tut's Death Mask (Detail)-On November 26, 1922, archeologist Howard Carter and his patron, Lord Carnavon, become the first people in over 3,000 years to enter the tomb of King Tutankhamen. Breaking through a sealed door, Carter leaned in, holding a candle. Carnavon, standing behind him, asked "Can you see anything ?" Carter's famous reply was, "Yes, wonderful things".

Happy birthday Frida Kahlo. I went to Museo Dolores Olmedo my favorite museum in the city for a special exhibition of #FridaenMX. They have the largest collection of Frida's work because Dolores was an early patron and it's a gorgeous old estate with peacocks and xolozquincle dogs. The trek to get there is a little long but perfect if you combine it with a trip to the Xochimilco canals.
