I was asked to create a garden that offered a sense of classicism with a contemporary edge and that featured as large a lawn as possible. The house has undergone complete refurbishment with architects Thomas De Cruz applying a modernist treatment throughout which has opened up much of the internal space to offer both space and light in abundance. The overall effect is simple and contemporary.

Initially unassuming, the E/C home appears hidden from the road, perched on the sloping edge of the island and partially wrapped in the basalt walls from an 18th-century farmhouse.
