DESCRIPTION: A pie safe with glazed cupboard probably Dauphin County circa 1860. The form consisting of a double door, punched tin, paneled pie safe with an attached nine light glazed door cupboard over top. Varnished surface, possibly original. There are a small number of single door glazed cupboards on tables that have associations with Dauphin county. This form is very similar and thus may be from the same shop. circa 1st quarter of the 19th century, single door with six panes in original polychrome painted finish with circles, upside down pineapples and pinwheels, old "Sotheby's Sale #5534" printed label on top; Cupboard sold as part of the collection of Don and Faye Walters and attributed to the Mahantango Valley of Pennsylvania. Sale date 10-25-86  29 x 18 x 34.25" high.

DESCRIPTION: Two part corner cupboard with bold ogee molding to top. Twelve lite door with arched top lites. Base with two ogee drawers with paneled doors. Grain painted in brown. Shaped skirt. Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Circa 1820 to 1830. MEASUREMENTS: 48" wide x 23" deep at top molding x 85-1/2". CONDITION: Splitting and minor losses to base molding. Minor paint wear.
