Love the tone of this painting.

While living in Italy as a small child DeGrazia was exposed to the art of the Catholic Church. Although he never formally participated in church life, this particular series of paintings reflect a deep reverence for all things religious. Instead of the traditional 14 Stations of the Cross, DeGrazia's collection culminates with the resurrection. "I never thought the cycle would be completed unless we had the 15th station where Jesus arises in glory." Station II Jesus takes up His cross.

St. Joseph. I don't believe I've ever seen this. St. Joseph holding baby Jesus, crying. I so love St. Joseph!

Catholicism is the religion of the Incarnation. It's not exclusively about what we do in the name of Jesus Christ, but what Jesus Christ, when received into ourselves and our lives worthily and well enable us to be and to do regarding God and neighbor. To follow and to witness to Him is to live in Him-- the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

The storm raged yesterday, sheets of rain, I could hardly see in front of me. I was a little frightened, unusual weather for end of November. Then, couple of hours later the sun was shining! Wow, reminds me of when I am in a battle, just wait upon the LORD and He who is faithful and just calms me. Amen
