The United States Bullion Depository, better know as Fort Knox. It's our country's major store of gold buillion, said to hold 147.3 million ozs of the precious gem. It opened in 1937 and has had as much as 649.6 million ozs of gold (at the start of America's participation in World War II) Located in Fort Knox, Kentucky, an Army installation just south of Louisville. Extremely off limits to the public & it's not supposed to be able to take photographs of it.
