Large door pulls based on the Bauhaus door handle by Walter Gropius and Adolf Meyer, ca. 1930

Door handles were among the many things that Walter Gropius designed. This is the "famed Gropius door handle" first produced in 1923. It is reproduced today by only one company, Tecnoline, the only company authorized by his heirs. Gropius' handles were available in various angular and rounded plates. I selected this because it shows that in keeping with Bauhaus philosophy, every aspect of the house, even a door handle, was "planned for simplicity of design."
