Bill: You said… I remember, you said you could fix this. That you could get me back. Did you say that? The Doctor: I did say that, yes. Bill: Were you lying? The Doctor: No. Bill: ...Were you right? The Doctor [sadly]: No.
Peter Capaldi IS The Doctor. He really understands the show and who the character is. Everything he says here is absolutely true and obvious when one actually pays attention to the show. And anyone who doesn't like Peter as The Doctor because "he's too angry", or "he's too dark", hasn't been paying attention.
"Some people say that the Doctor could be showing that he has romantic feelings for Clara, and that they're worried because he's meant for River. But I don't see it like that. For Eleven and Clara, I see a brother/sister relationship where the Doctor is the overly protective older brother and Clara is the defiant little sister that saves his life in the end." So true.
That killed me. When he was saying all of the past "last words". Like "I don't wanna go." "When the doctor was me." "So was I."
Martha Jones is my favourite companion because she saved the world by making people say one word which was doctor. She chose to leave the doctor because her family has been through one year of hell and she laughed at the master before he had the chance to kill her.
