NATIONAL SPAGHETTI DAY – January 4 - The long, thin cylindrical pasta of Italian and Sicilian origin which is made of semolina or flour and water, known as spaghetti and loved by millions has it’s own special day.  January 4th is National Spaghetti Day and is observed annually across the country.

NATIONAL ARGYLE DAY – January 8 - Deriving from the tartan of Clan Campbell, of Argyll in western Scotland, the argyle pattern used for kilts and plaids and from the patterned socks (known as “tartan hose”) worn by Scottish Highlanders since at least the 17th century, is recognized and honored each year on January 8th on National Argyle Day.

However, none are more popular than those that depict athletes, professional sports teams, mascots, cartoon characters, and celebrities. The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum was announced on November 18, 2014. The museum will open in 2016 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and will house the world’s largest collection of bobbleheads.

September 5th is International Day of Charity -  To honor the important work that these charities do worldwide, in 2012 the United Nations decided to nominate an annual International Day of Charity as an official day of recognition and celebration. The reason the date was chosen is because it is the anniversary of the death of Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
